This guide takes you from nothing to standing in Prontera, ready to play. It should take about ten minutes.

1. Create your account

Register a free account on the account page. You only need a username, password and email. One email can be used for your account.

2. Download the client

Go to the Download page and get the PronteraFree full installer. Install it, then run the patcher once so the game updates to the latest version.

3. Log in and make a character

Launch the game, log in with your new account, and create a character. New characters start as a Novice in the training grounds.

4. Learn the ropes

• Finish the Novice training to earn starting gear and zeny.
• Pick a first job when you reach Job Level 10 as a Novice. See Classes & Jobs.
• Use the Warper and Healer NPCs in town to move around and recover.

5. Built-in Autoplay

PronteraFree has an integrated Autoplay system — you do not need, and are not allowed to use, any external bot. Autoplay lets you grind fairly within the rules. Third-party botting is bannable.

6. Choose your adventure

At Job Level 10, the Job Changer in Prontera offers the classic first jobs — plus two mysterious ??? options:

• Pink ??? — Pokémon Trainer, for the Pokémon World.
• Purple ??? — Digimon Master, for the Digital World.

Or stay with classic Ragnarok — it's entirely up to you. Use separate characters to try all three.
