⚠️ Patch error "Access is denied (os error 5)"?
Windows protects Program Files, so the launcher can't update the game there without admin rights. Your files are fine.
Quick fix: right-click PronteraFree → Run as administrator.
Always: right-click → Properties → Compatibility → tick Run this program as an administrator.
Best for new installs: install to C:\Games\PronteraFree instead of Program Files — then admin rights are never needed.
